Happy New Year!


It's 2022 and I'm excited for the year ahead. Have you set any goals and intentions for the year?


A new year is a the perfect time to sit and think about what you would like to achieve out of the year. Where do you see yourself in 2023?


Why should we set goals?


Setting goals gives you a long-term vision and short-term motivation. It focuses you acquisition for knowledge, and helps you to organise your time and your resources so you can make the most of your life.


Fitness goals are an essential part of your wellness journey. By setting goals, you are better able to hold yourself accountable, show yourself your are capable of, and can also help you push through more difficult moments to make a longer-lasting change.


Here's some tips for goal setting...


1. Work on one goal at a time - set small, attainable goals. Strive to reach each goal one at a time, so you are not overwhelmed and keep yourself motivated.

2. Be patient and think long term. It is crucial to play the long game when working towards your goals. Of course, we wish for instant gratification, but it is important to be realistic and how long it will take to reach your goal.

3. Enjoy your health and wellness journey. Becoming a healthier, more fit you is a long journey, with many small wins along the way. Allow yourself to enjoy learning new things, eating new foods, and gaining new confidence in yourself.

4. Don't let setback throw you off track.

Setbacks happen, but they are not an excuse to quit., there are a reason to recommit to become a better you. Maybe you've bene busy and avoided the gym for a few weeks, or overindulged in sweets, and now your feeling down about yourself. Don't feel like a failure. Life with get in the way of your journey and you have to learn to accept the setback and continue to move forward.

5. Don't overdo it.

Listen to your body and avoid overexerting yourself. Doing too much too fast can lead to injury, which can cause setbacks on your fitness journey.
