January blues?


Do you suffer from January blues? It's cold and dark and everything just seems to be that little bit harder this time of year. I'm such a summer person, I love the heat, the long days and I really struggle in the colder months. My advice for this time of year, is to listen to your body. Think about what makes you feel better, what lifts you up. Fueling your body with nourishing food, incorporating movement into your lifestyle, making sure you get enough sleep for recovery and getting those vitamin d rays. Yes I know it's not summer!! But we need that sunshine to keep us healthy. Try and get as much sunshine as possible and maybe think about taking a vitamin d supplement to help support this.


I've also found having a goal and some focus very helpful. Giving yourself a purpose! Take 20 minutes to sit and think about what you really want to achieve, this is for you and only you and it can be anything. If you never take the time to sit and think about these things, one day it will be too late and you will be reflecting and wishing you had.


So my words of wisdom today are; take a moment, sit and really think about what you want! What kind of life and lifestyle do you want to lead? Once you've chosen your focus then you can start on your path..
