Motivation..

Motivation..

Where does it come from? Are we always motivated? The answer is NO we are not always motivated, a lot of the time we can't be bothered or make excuses to why we shouldn't be working out, prioritising other things.. How many people have started a deep clean just so they can avoid a workout. Or procrastinating for hours until its too late! This is life, we are human! However, its not all doom and gloom!! There are ways to make you more motivated :)

Firstly its all about consistency , be consistent in your workout. Figure out what time and days work for you, plan a routine and stick to it. I am a planner, I love the start of the week, I plan my whole week, checklists and all. Get into this routine and you will become constant which will help with motivation.

Another step is to set yourself up for a great day! Start a morning routine, this can be as long as you like. You don't need to get up any earlier, these are all things you can do while, making your morning coffee, your breakfast or having a shower.

When you wake, think of three things you are grateful for, these can be absolutely anything!! Then set your intention for the day 'today is going to be a great day' you can visualise your day and think about why it's going to be great.

Stretch those muscles, your body has been asleep, so give it some love with a morning stretch, this can literally be for 2 minutes.

Start your day with a nutritious breakfast, fuel your body and set yourself up!

Secondly, keep your goals in mind! Write them somewhere you can see them, on the fridge, the bathroom mirror, on your phone! Remember your reasons to why you should work out today.

Start to think about how you feel after a workout, the feeling of accomplishment, the feeling of how your body feels, how your mind feels. Remember this!! When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins which trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.

So you are always going to feel great after a workout.

And Thirdly, put some awesome music on, turn the tunes up and enjoy. You are doing something for yourself, to better yourself. Dance, sing and enjoy your exercise.

Sometimes later becomes never so DO IT NOW... xx

Rest and Recovery?

Should we rest and recover? How about if I feel in the zone? I'm too scared to rest because I might have a day off and it will throw me....
